Incremental search can also be thought of as live search. The cursor highlights the first finding as you're typing the search term.

Visual Studio Tip / Trick #001 English Transcription:

Visual Studio Tip / Trick #1 Transcription Welcome to VSTricks.com, Trick Number one; a video repeat of Sara Ford’s original tip of the day originally published on July 23rd 2007. The tip is incremental search with the keyboard shortcut of [CTRL]+[I]. So type [CTRL]+[I] as I start typing the letters [X] [M] [L] you can see that the highlighting is findings the words as I am typing them. And then I can press [CTRL]+[I] again to Find Next, and as I press [ESC] to leave the Incremental Search you will see that the search term is also added to my find box. Because it is added up there that means you can actually use the other shortcut keys as well. [F3] will Find Next, [SHIFT]+[F3] will find previous and then while you are in that Incremental Search you can use [CTRL]+[I] to Find Next and naturally [CTRL]+[SHIFT]+[I] to find previous.

The video doesn't play on Mac in Safari 2 OR Firefox 3. Can you let me know when it's fixed so I can have a look?

Thanks Russ for the heads up - the popup does die in those browsers. I'll keep you updated when we get it fixed. Thanks for taking a look.

FWIW The video plays fine in FF 3.0.5.

In other strangeness... The tab order on this comments page seems a little strange.... cannot tab to comments box

For now, (it's not perfect) but I have added an AutoPlay=true to the player, so the content plays in all the browsers I tested.

Still broken, if you click anywhere (even the scrub or pause buttons), in some browsers, the player closes. Let's call it a work in progress!
