#59 Resize the Statement Completion Window
Friday, March 06 2009
You can resize the statement completion dialog box from any direction, once it’s open, grab a side or a corner.
Snippets / Notes:
Interestingly, there are max and min heights (max is limited to 1/3 of screen size) and while there are no limits on the max width, only the height is persisted.
Visual Studio Tip / Trick #059 English Transcription:
Today’s video trick #59 was an original blog post by Sara Ford with her tip 59.
The tip deals with re-sizing the statement completion window. So if you do this [DOT], we have the statement completion that comes up, you might not have known that this is sizable. You can change the horizontal width as well as the height. A couple of things about it, first the maximum height is limited to the one-third of your screen size. There also seems to be a minimum of about five lines with this font size. You can also drag this corner here. I’m told that the height is persistent while the width is not. So if we take this all the way up to the screen, and bring up IntelliSense again, you’ll see that’s gonna auto size. My height was persistent but my width was not. So now, we are back to five lines and you can see the same height comes up again.
