Great Silverlight Cache for ASP.NET Drop Down Lists

Most Silverlight examples are about the User Interface. XAML here, and video there, pretty this, and shaded that. But this post today on SilverlightShow.net is different.

They use the isolated storage of silverlight to act as a Client-Side cache for ASP.NET drop down lists.

#33 Drag and Drop techniques inside the Visual Studio Editor

Naturally you know drag and drop is supported in the designers, bringing in controls, and moving controls around the page. But did you know drag and drop also works for text? And [CTRL] drag = copy? Nice trick. Spend a minute watching this for the whole scoop.

#32 Selecting the Current Word (Or White Space Block)

Selecting the current work is usually done with by double clicking the mouse on a current selection. This works for words, but not for whitespace. This video shows you the trick to select from the keyboard.

Cameron’s World: Asleep falling off the Couch

These pictures are kind of hard to tell, but Cameron right now is literally hanging half way on|off the couch.

Neither of his feet are touching the carpet.

Poor lil’ guy.

I only left him like that long enough to snap a few pictures, then carried (all 33 lb’s) of him up to his room.

#31 Changing the Visual Studio Background Color
