#14 Word Wrap, and Word Wrap Glyph

Sometimes scrolling to the right for long lines of text hides other text that you want to see at the beginning of the line. Using word wrap allows you to see all text on a line, one the screen at once. Some like it, some don’t – but that’s why it’s an option :)

Visual Studio Tip / Trick #014 English Transcription:

Today Visual Studio trick of the day is repost of Sara Ford's original trick published in August 2007. Trick no 14 is the Visual Studio Word Wrap so from the Tools menu under Options, you can navigate to Text Editor than All Languages or optional, you can select specific language then you have word wrap and show word wrap glyphs. So first we'll just do word wrap and you will notice that my line numbers are now expanded so my no 2 is actually taking two place holders and 3 continues underneath it. We go back to Tools, Option and enable the visual glyphs and you can see the little return arrows down the right side of your bar. You can also change the color of that under Tools | Options then if you navigate back to environment, fonts and colors, visible White Space and you'll change that from default to red and now you can see it changes to red.
